School Overview

The Academy for Innovative Studies is dedicated to providing a flexible and focused educational experience for students outside of the traditional school. We proudly serve students in grades 6-8 through AIS Middle School and students in grades 9-12 through AIS High School. Students are referred to AIS by their district school. With smaller class sizes each student has the opportunity for more one-on-one attention. At AIS MS, we focus on growth for every student in all areas - academically, emotionally, socially, and behaviorally. We have a team that works together in order to meet students' individual needs in all areas and we have a focus on continued improvement for all.

Prior to enrollment, each student has an Individualized Education Plan or Individualized Service Plan. AIS High School students have the possibility of graduating with a Core 40 Honors diploma or working toward their GED.
